STONEHAM FAMILY

Moses Stoneham b.1630 lived at Yarner where he had built a house by the time he died in 1678. At some stage, at least by 1727, his relative John inherited Yarner. You can read more about Yarner in the drop down menu on Places. John Stoneham also owned property in the Borough of Bovey Tracey. This property was called Stoneham’s Ground and was at the lower end of East Street on the northern side. John died in 1746 and his wife Susannah inherited the property. I am grateful to the Fletcher family, descendants of Moses Stoneham for drawing this to my attention.
